The El Dorado Fire Department, Local 1074 was awarded $155,000 in round one of the Assistant to Firefighters Grant program. The focus of the grant is to upgrade each apparatus in the  department  to a standard 5” LHD supply line. (Currently the department has 3”).

One of the main speaking points for the grant was a focus on the results of the Charleston Report. As you know former President Pete Reagan, per the IAFF, requested in 2008 that each Arkansas local conduct a review of their department. The department's safety committee completed the survey in January of 2009 with a recommendation to upgrade our supply lines.
