Jill Peeler, a Marin County Sherriff Services Assistant, has volunteered with the Local 798 San Francisco Firefighters’ Toy Program for nearly 20 years and started a new way you can help fire victims.

    Old Memphis Fire Station to Open as Beer Garden

    Old Fire Station 3 located at the corner of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue (Linden Avenue) and S. Third Street will open Thursday, October 1st, as a beer garden, similar to the beer garden at the old Tennessee Brewery and will be open every Thursday through Sunday night through the end of November.

    Firefighters Cut Patients from Helicopter Crash Debris

    Eustis, Florida – A helicopter pilot and passenger ended up on a medical helicopter after their light weight copter they were flying crashed into a residential neighborhood early Friday morning. Bystanders watched as the helicopter spun out of control after takeoff and a short flight from the Umatilla airport a few miles away.

    2016 Political Training Academy

    Applications are now being accepted online for the 20th annual IAFF Political Training Academy scheduled for March 6-11 in Baltimore, Maryland.  The online-only application period begins Tuesday, September 8 and closes Friday, November 13. In addition to submitting to an application, all applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from their local president.
