    05/18/19 - IAFF Local 2866
    During the week of May 14th through the 17th the Fayetteville Firefighters had 11 members attend the annual Arkansas Professional Firefighters Association convention. The convention was hosted by Jonesboro Local 3718. Our members attend several lectures and classes to help improve their knowledge of what’s going on around the state and nation with firefighters issues.

    On May 9th 2019 President Jimmy Vinyard presented Nicole Clowney with a desk plaque and an offical Fayetteville Firefighters Members Shirt to thank her for all the work she has done to pass laws to protect firefighters who are fighting cancer. She has stepped up and proved she is a friend to all Firefighters.

    MDA Boot Drive

    The Fayetteville Firefighters will be holding their annual boot drive on April 5th and 6th. We will be at 2 locations, Shiloh Drive and MLK and Joyce and Mall. The Fayetteville Firefighters has raised the most amount of money for MDA in the State of Arkansas for the last 2 years and would like to keep that trend going. Please help by donating whatever you can into the boot.

    The 2019 Bill Lundy Legislative Conference is taking place this week at the Arkansas State Capital. At the direction of the Arkansas Professional Firefighter political director Mattew Stallings. Memebers from around the state were updated on issues that can impact firefighters. Cancer Legislation like HB1299 sponsored by Rep. Nicole Clowney.

    Brothers and Sisters, The APFF will hold the Bill Lundy Legislative Conference in Little Rock February 26,27,28.  We will begin at 1300 on February 26 with a quarterly meeting at the Local 34 Union Hall (210 South Gaines Little Rock, AR 72205). Hospitality will be provided by the APFF after the meeting.
